Grand Falls – Arizona’s Chocolate Waterfalls

30 miles North East of Flagstaff a hidden gem lies that most Arizona residents don’t even know about, The Grand Falls. A natural waterfall that looks like it could be from a Willy Wonka movie is nestled in the Painted Desert on the Navajo Reservation. The falls were created by volcanic runoff from Merriam Crater which created a lava dam at the falls and at 185 feet high. If you want to go, the best time to see the falls is at the end of February till the end of April and sometimes even into May based on snow. Stunning!
