Governor Hobbs Brings Holiday Cheer to Families with AZIsHome Program

Arizona’s first-time homebuyers celebrate the holidays in their new homes thanks to mortgage assistance initiative.

PHOENIX — Governor Katie Hobbs spent last week celebrating the success of the Arizona Is Home (AZIsHome) program by visiting two families who recently purchased their first homes through the initiative.

Launched in 2024 as part of Governor Hobbs’ State of the State address, the AZIsHome program provides mortgage assistance for first-time homebuyers, helping with down payments and interest rate buydowns.

During her visits, Hobbs emphasized her administration’s commitment to addressing Arizona’s housing affordability crisis and making the American Dream more attainable for working families.

Fighting for Affordable Housing

“The holidays are a time for home and family, and through AZIsHome, more Arizonans can experience the joy of owning their first home,” Hobbs said during one of her stops.

The program is part of a broader effort by the governor’s office to alleviate the state’s housing challenges, ensuring that first-time homebuyers have the financial support needed to navigate today’s market.

More to Come

As Governor Hobbs highlighted the joy and stability that homeownership brings, she reaffirmed her dedication to expanding housing access and affordability throughout Arizona in the coming year.

Stay tuned for updates as the state continues to build pathways toward achieving the dream of homeownership for more Arizonans.
