A man and woman were found dead inside a Glendale home Saturday night in what preliminary investigators are calling an apparent murder-suicide.
Phoenix police responded around 8:30 p.m. to a neighborhood near 35th Avenue and Deer Valley Road following reports of a shooting. Officers arrived to find both individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Neither survived.
Homicide detectives who examined the scene determined the man most likely shot the woman before turning the firearm on himself. The identities of both individuals have not yet been released.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies to finalize the circumstances and official cause of death for both victims. No further details have been made available by authorities at this time.
