Glendale Beverage Facility To Be Ready For Business By 2021

By way of a unanimous vote from the Glendale City Council, a development agreement was approved last month that will lead to a new multimillion-dollar facility for Red Bull, Ball Corp. and Rauch Fruit Juices.

As part of the agreement, the city will waive $750,000 of development fees for the factory, distribution center and regional office.

“We’re certainly excited to have this project announced,” said Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps. “It’s something we’ve been working on for the past six months with our team here in Glendale.”

Located at Reems Road and Peoria Avenue, the 700,000-square-foot facility will be housed in the Woolf Logistics Industrial Campus located at Reems Road and Peoria Avenue.

The current expectation is for the facility to be fully operational by 2021, along with creating 140 jobs.

“One thing we had to do was demonstrate that we could put a project team on our place that would give (the companies) their appropriate zoning, building permits, entitlements, roadway infrastructure improvements, etc., in a timely manner,” Phelps said. “And I think that’s where our team really kind of shined. We were able to put together a very aggressive schedule that met their needs.”
