Gilbert Police Arrest Three Teens in Connection with Valley-Wide Vehicle Burglary Spree

Multiple Firearms and Stolen Property Recovered as Authorities Crack Down on Vehicle Burglaries Across the Valley

PHOENIX – The Gilbert Police Department has arrested three teenagers in connection with a Valley-wide vehicle burglary spree, marking a significant development in the investigation into a string of break-ins that has affected several communities. The arrests took place on Tuesday, with police recovering multiple firearms and stolen property tied to the crimes.

Elijah Saenz, 18, of San Tan Valley, was taken into custody and faces a lengthy list of charges, including one count of second-degree burglary, 15 counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of criminal damage, three counts of misconduct involving weapons, and one count of theft of a credit card. Saenz was booked into jail following his arrest.

Two additional suspects, both 17-year-old boys from Mesa, were also arrested. They face charges related to minors in possession of a firearm. Due to their age, their names have not been released.


The arrests bring relief to residents who have been impacted by the series of vehicle break-ins. Police emphasized that the recovery of stolen property and firearms from the suspects underscores the seriousness of the crime spree.

“This investigation highlights our commitment to keeping the community safe,” said a spokesperson for the Gilbert Police Department. “We will continue to work with local law enforcement partners to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”
