Garth Brooks To Perform at State Farm Stadium In 2019

As part of a North American stadium tour, country music superstar Garth Brooks is coming to the Valley.

State Farm Stadium in Glendale was announced as the first stop, with The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis to come next. Additional details are still to be announced, with tickets for five tour cities to go on sale before Christmas.

The event will mark Brooks’ first Phoenix-area show since 2015.

In October 2015, the Country Music Hall of Famer had a mini-residency with six shows at Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix. He performed Oct. 16 and 17, prior to returning for two shows each on Oct. 23 and 24.

Brooks has only played a select number of shows this year, including a visit to California for the closing spot for April’s Stagecoach festival.

On Saturday night, he’ll hold a sold-out show at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind. The show is also going to be recorded for a Dec. 2 CBS special.

He toured steadily from September 2014 through 2017 for the World Tour, which was the highest-grossing country tour of all time and the ninth most lucrative overall, according to Wikipedia.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Brooks has sold 148 million albums – second to only The Beatles.

Brooks is the only performer to have seven certified diamond records for sales exceeding 10 million units.

His best-selling work, 1998’s “Double Live,” is No. 8 on the all-time album sales list at 21 million units.
