It’s almost time for the opening day of the Arizona State Fair and there’s a whole lot more to enjoy at the Fair than just fried foods and thrill rides.
During the month-long event, numerous major performances also take the stage at the annual event. For many, the concerts are the biggest attraction the fair has to offer.
The Arizona State Fair will run Oct. 5-28.
Officials with the Arizona State Fair have unveiled the numerous music acts that will make up this year’s concert series.
On Monday, August 6, the fair’s organizers announced that famed thrash metal band Anthrax and Latin pop singer Paulina Rubio join the list of performers.
According to videos posted to the Arizona State Fair’s official YouTube channel, Anthrax is scheduled to perform on Thursday, October 18, while Rubio will perform Friday, October 19.
The remainder of the performances include Americana/folk rock group Nate Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Christian rock band Casting Crowns, country crooner Gary Allen, The annual Fiesta Friday concert will also take place during this year’s fair and star hip-hop artists like MC Magic, Baby Bash, and Lil Rob.
Located on the state fairgrounds, Veterans Memorial Coliseum will be the venue for all of the concerts. Entry to all of the concerts will be included in the price of fair admission, with seating being first-come, first-served. Those interested in sitting closer to the stage, however, reserved seating can be purchased for $40 to $60 through the state fair’s website.
