Frontier Airlines Offers Free Flights Intended for Small Business Owners

Frontier Airlines has offered a nearly free nonstop, round-trip ticket on certain routes aimed at small business owners.

Until 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 26, passengers could book a ticket for free using the promo code TAKEOFF on Frontier’s website.

The tickets were available for flights Monday through Thursday, plus Saturdays, through Feb. 3, 2021, excluding certain blackout dates.

“In business, nothing can replace the value of in-person interaction, and, when conducted responsibly, a face-to-face meeting is still the best way to build relationships and seal the deal,” said Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airlines, in a statement. “At Frontier, we’re offering our own form of stimulus for small business owners or anyone wanting to take advantage of our unique 100% off deal on flights to both large and small destinations across the country.”

The free ticket wasn’t entirely free though. Customers will have to pay fees and taxes. The blackout dates are: Sept. 7-8, Nov. 19-Dec. 1, Dec. 16-Jan. 4 and Jan. 14-18. A seven-day advance purchase is required. Denver-based Frontier flies out of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Since April, Frontier has taken additional steps to make flying safe during the pandemic, including requiring people to wear masks, taking their temperature before boarding and disinfecting planes using fogging.
