Running as an Independent, Lytle is positioning himself outside the partisan framework that has come to dominate state politics. Additional proposals include the creation of a statewide Mentor Corps to support entrepreneurship, expanded incentives for charitable organizations, new strategies to attract and retain top teachers and first responders, and public school reforms aimed at strengthening classrooms while restoring local accountability.
