Four Peaks Oktoberfest To Return to Tempe Town Lake

The Four Peaks Oktoberfest will be coming to Tempe Town Lake once again this fall for the 44th year. The event is set to take place October 7-9 and is promising to be even better than previous years with new attractions and features.

The proceeds from this year’s Oktoberfest will continue to benefit Tempe Sister Cities, which helps in providing international exchange programs to cities throughout the world for students, educators and professionals.

This year, festival organizers are focused on providing an authentic experience for attendees by offering a wide variety of Four Peaks beers as well as other German style beers on tap. Pricing for beers will remain $6, no matter the style. And for those who aren’t beer drinkers, wine will be available as well.

Plenty of bratwursts and other food options will ensure everyone gets what they are hungry for.  Traditional German style fare will be available and other vendors will be present as well, offering a wide variety of food options ranging from Lobster Mac and Cheese to street tacos. To make the experience even more enjoyable, this year all food and beverage tents will have the ability to accept credit/debit cards and cash. ATMs will also be available on-site.

A variety of entertainment will be present this at this year’s Oktoberfest. “Our hope (is) to make everyone feel welcome and enjoy all that the Four Peaks Oktoberfest has to offer,” Festival Organizer Evan Schaefer says. “By providing a wide variety of entertainment, for all ages, we are working to bring the community together in an exciting and vibrant way.” Musical acts such as Whiskey’s Quicker, Royal Bliss, Jared and the Mill, and Grammy award winning DJ Lil John will be providing guaranteed entertainment. And for the kids, the Landings Credit Union Kinderfest will be filled with fun and games.

New this year as well is that Four Peaks Oktoberfest will be charging an admission fee to guests entering the event to help ensure a premiere festival going experience. The general admission fee at the gate will be $10 plus tax. A VIP package is available as well for $40 flat. Other, cheaper options are available for purchase on the Tempe Town Lake Oktoberfest website (http://www.tempeoktoberfest.com/).
