Four Peaks Brewing Co. Introduces Arizona Cardinals Themed Beer

Four Peaks Brewing Company has brewed a new beer to celebrate the Arizona Cardinals and the 100th season of the NFL.

The beer comes in a red aluminum bottle and dons the Cardinals logo. It is appropriately named the “Red Bird Lager.” The bottle was designed with help from the Cardinals themselves.

“Cards fans, this bird’s for you,” Four Peaks wrote on Instagram.

Four Peaks Brewing Co. is a well-known Arizona staple for beer fans. Their main brewery is near Arizona State University, with three other taprooms around the Valley.

“Red Bird Lager has a light toasty malt flavor and crisp finish that satisfies from kickoff to the final whistle,” Four Peak said. “Drink up, Red Sea.”

Red Bird Lager will contain 4.5 percent alcohol and is an amber lager with flavors of caramel and malt.

“We brewed it as a small batch that everyone fell in love with,” Four Peaks communications manager Zach Fowle said. “The brewers are excited to be able to drink it on a more regular basis.

The beer is now available at Four Peaks Brewing Co. pubs, as well as at State Farm Stadium just in time for the beginning of the season. Certain grocery stores in the area will sell the Lager as well. Fans will be able to buy 12 packs of the beer or purchase individual bottles at the stadium. At Four Peaks pubs, fans can share a bucket special- five bottles on ice for $20.

“If people like it, we’ll keep it around,” Fowle says.

The Arizona Cardinals kick off the season against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 8 at home.
