Four Hospitalized After Early Morning Knife Fight at Phoenix Park

Dispute at a nearby convenience store escalates into a violent altercation at Margaret T. Hance Park, resulting in multiple injuries and arrests.

Four individuals were hospitalized following a knife fight at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix early Tuesday morning, according to local authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department reported that the fight, which erupted around 4:15 a.m., involved approximately seven people. One of the injured victims managed to flag down nearby officers, prompting immediate response.

As a result of the altercation, three people were detained, and four individuals were transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The incident occurred near Burton Barr Central Library’s heat relief center, located just east of Hance Park, which provides 24/7 services through Sept. 30.

Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that 23-year-old Terrell Nozie had instigated the fight by attacking three of the victims following a prior disagreement at a convenience store. Nozie has since been arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault.

This investigation is ongoing.
