Four Arrested After Gun Incident at Buckeye Elementary School

Police say altercation during school dismissal led to arrest of teen girls, teen boy, and armed adult

PHOENIX — Four individuals, including a man carrying a firearm, were arrested Wednesday afternoon following a disturbance on the campus of Freedom Elementary School in Buckeye, according to local authorities.

Buckeye police responded to the school, located near Verrado Way and Yuma Road, just before 4 p.m. as students were being dismissed for the day.

Police said a fight broke out on school property, resulting in the arrests of a 15-year-old girl, a 17-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy. A 19-year-old man who was also present was found in possession of a gun and taken into custody as well.


No injuries were reported during the incident. Authorities have not yet said whether the individuals involved were students or visitors.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released further details.
