Former Tempe High School Wrestling Coach Arrested For Offering Student Money For Sex Act

Police have confirmed that a former Tempe High School volunteer wrestling coach has been arrested for offering a student money for a sex act.

On Wednesday, twenty-year-old Christian Alvarado-Rodriguez was taken into custody after the high school student who was proposition reported the incident to the school resource officer. Alvarado-Rodriguez was booked into Tempe City Jail on one count of child sex trafficking, one count of unlawful misrepresentation of age and one count of money laundering.

Tempe High School administration have notified parents and staff about the incident and detectives are conducting a thorough investigation. It is uncertain how long Alvarado-Rodriguez had worked as a volunteer with the high school wrestling team.
