Kai Restaurant at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and the Canyon Suites at the Phoenician are the only Valley properties honored as Five-Star winners in the annual Forbes Travel Guide.
The two local winners are among 154 Five-Star hotels, 56 Five-Star restaurants and 47 Five-Star spas. The 58th list of Star Rating winners was announced in late February.
Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain north of Tucson was the only other Five-Star winner in Arizona.
The Four-Star hotel winners in metro Phoenix were:
— Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale.
— Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain.
— The Phoenician.
— Phoenician Residences.
— Royal Palms Resort.
Talavera at Four Seasons Scottsdale and II Terrazzo at the Phoenician were Four-Star restaurant winners.
The Four-Star spa winners in the Valley were:
— Aji Spa at Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort.
— Alvarado Spa at the Royal Palms Resort.
— Centre for Well Being at the Phoenician.
— Sanctuary Spa and Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain.
— The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale.
— Well & Being Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort.
The Forbes Travel Guide Star Ratings have been a coveted hospitality-industry standard since 1958.
