Summer in Phoenix means finding indoor activities that will keep the family cool.

Movies are always a great activity to beat the summer heat. One local theater is offering families an alternative to pricey summer activities

Flix Brewhouse, the dine-in theater in downtown Chandler, has announced their summer promotion.

Part of its Flix Junior programming, during the month of July, the theater will offer $2 tickets to classic kids films. The discount will not include the recent premieres of Toy Story 4, The Secret Life of Pets 2, or Aladdin.

The July “Junior” lineup classic family fun movies such as The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Matilda, The Iron Giant, and Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Tickets can be purchased online, here.

The theater is also offering a special promotion for kids, 12 and younger to receive a free meal with the purchase of an adult meal, through September 30, 2019. It is limited to one kids meal per adult meal bought.
