A two-car collision in south Phoenix left five people — including a young child — hospitalized in critical condition Saturday evening.
Phoenix Fire Department crews responded around 6:30 p.m. to the area of 23rd and Southern avenues, where they found two vehicles involved in the crash. One woman had to be extricated from her vehicle before she could be treated. She, along with two other women, one man and one male child, were all transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The Phoenix Police Department is now investigating the cause of the crash. No additional details have been released.
