Get ready to geek out! Tempe FanCon returns on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tempe Public Library. Each year in January, Tempe FanCon brings together fans from across the Valley for a celebration of all things cosplay, comics and pop culture. Fans can enjoy a family event jam-packed with games and activities. Here’s what to expect:
- More than 100 vendors – including food trucks!
- Costume contests for youth, teens, adults and groups (winners receive tickets to Phoenix Fan Fusion!)
- Stranger Things escape room
- Wags and Whiskers pet contest winners Kiwi the dog, Orange the cat and Artie the rat
- All-day entertainment on the outdoor stage
- Hang out with Tempe Play Mobile and create a superhero mask, compete in Thor’s axe throwing and strike a pose at the photo booth.
- Storytimes and author readings
- Live sketching
- Arts activities with Edna Arts
- Cosplay-themed shopping experiences
- Board game room
