FanCon To Take Over Tempe Public Library Saturday, Jan. 28

Get ready to geek out!  Tempe FanCon returns on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tempe Public Library. Each year in January, Tempe FanCon brings together fans from across the Valley for a celebration of all things cosplay, comics and pop culture. Fans can enjoy a family event jam-packed with games and activities. Here’s what to expect:

  • More than 100 vendors – including food trucks!
  • Costume contests for youth, teens, adults and groups (winners receive tickets to Phoenix Fan Fusion!)
  • Stranger Things escape room
  • Wags and Whiskers pet contest winners Kiwi the dog, Orange the cat and Artie the rat
  • All-day entertainment on the outdoor stage
  • Hang out with Tempe Play Mobile and create a superhero mask, compete in Thor’s axe throwing and strike a pose at the photo booth.
  • Storytimes and author readings
  • Live sketching
  • Arts activities with Edna Arts
  • Cosplay-themed shopping experiences
  • Board game room
