Famous Car Auction Returns to Scottsdale

The Barrett-Jackson Car Show is coming back to Scottsdale, Arizona from January 14 to January 22. This well-respected event is likely to draw more than 200,000 spectators! Over the course of eight days, over 1,600 stylish and unique cars will be showcased and auctioned off. Car enthusiasts are guaranteed to enjoy the many custom and classic cars that will be on exhibition.

If 2017’s car show is anything like 2016’s car show, there will be realistic movie-inspired cars up for auction at this event. Last year, two cars were sold that were modelled after popular characters from the Transformers series: a 1992 Peterbuilt stunt truck resembling “Optimus Prime” and a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro modelled after “Bumblebee.” Furthermore, a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta was sold that brings to mind the flashy cars that one might see in a Fast and Furious movie. Fittingly, the original car owner named it “Fast and Furious.”

Many of the cars at the 2017 Barrett-Jackson Car Show will also appeal to car enthusiasts with a taste for less flashy cars. At the 2016 car show, for example, a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible and a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 were auctioned off. Car enthusiasts—regardless of their personal tastes—are sure to find cars at the 2017 Carrett-Jackson Car Show that will earn their attention.
