Did you know that every year, the Smithsonian Magazine sponsors a Museum Live! day, and that several museums and cultural centers around the United States participate? Similar to the Smithsonian Museums in Washington, DC that offer free admission every day, on Museum Live! day, other participating museums also offer free admission to their guests. This year, the Museum Live! day is on Saturday, September 23.
Our very own Pueblo Grande Museum is one of the museums that is participating in Museum Live! day. In order to take part in this free event, you will need to print a ticket off of the Smithsonian Magazine’s website at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday. A maximum of two people will be given free entry into the museum with each ticket that is presented.
Pueblo Grande Museum is an engaging museum that originally opened in 1929. Their hours on Saturday, September 23rd, are from 9am to 4:45pm. The director of the museum, Nicole Armstrong-Best, recently stated that, “Our doors are open for everyone to come and enjoy this exciting day full of hands-on activities celebrating all museums”.
