A joint operation between the El Mirage and Glendale police departments on Thursday led to the arrest of three peopleand the seizure of more than 2,000 fentanyl pills, authorities said.
Officers with El Mirage’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team, along with Glendale SWAT and K9 units, served a search warrant at a home near Calavar Road and 126th Lane early Thursday morning. Inside, investigators found thousands of fentanyl pills and about 20 pieces of drug paraphernalia, according to the El Mirage Police Department (EMPD).
Police said the location has been a repeat target of law enforcement efforts. In March, El Mirage officers—working with the U.S. Secret Service, Surprise Police, and Glendale SWAT—executed another warrant at the same house. That earlier operation resulted in the arrests of seven suspects and the seizure of multiple firearms, nearly 500 fentanyl pills, 20 grams of methamphetamine, and $800 in cash.
Officers said Thursday’s search was part of an ongoing effort to dismantle local narcotics networks distributing fentanyl across the West Valley.
The investigation remains active, and police have not yet released the names of the three suspects arrested in the most recent operation.
Fentanyl remains one of Arizona’s most pressing public safety threats, with law enforcement agencies across the state reporting record-high seizures of the synthetic opioid in 2025.
