The popular Tucson-based fast food chain Eegee’s recently embarked on the Phoenix metro area and now have plans to open second Gilbert location.
Eegee’s will open a restaurant at Val Vista Drive and Willis Road on Mar. 3rd, making it their third total in metro Phoenix. The restaurant’s normal hours of operation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
The 2,300-square-foot space will include an eegee-only drive-thru window for the chain’s signature drink and a walk-up order window.
Eegee’s will host a soft opening on March 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Public is welcome to attend.
All proceeds from their soft opening will be donated to Gilbert-based nonprofit Open Arms, which serves local families who have fallen on hard times by providing them food and clothing on a monthly basis.
“We were thrilled with the positive response we received when we opened the first location in Gilbert last July,” CEO Ron Petty said in the release. “And we’re excited to be able to give back to the same community through our partnership with Open Arms who is doing important work to help locals in need.
The first Gilbert Eegee’s opened in July and is located at Crismon Road and U.S. 60. The Mesa located opened in November.
“As we continue to grow—from Tucson to the East Valley, and soon, to the West Valley—we hope to maintain that same connection with every community Eegee’s opens in.”
Eegee’s has plans to open a restaurant this summer in the West Valley at 35th and Peoria avenues.
Eegee’s has been in business since 1971 and has more than 20 locations across Tucson.
