Phoenix area residents are eagerly awaiting the addition of an eegee’s location in the valley. The wait is almost over as later this summer eegee’s will open in Gilbert. In preparation for their opening, the chain is hosting a job fair to help staff that location and other Valley locations coming soon.
The Tucson-based fast food joint, known for its tasty frozen treats, sub sandwiches and crispy golden french fries, will open its store at Baseline Road and Val Vista Drive within the next couple of months. This weekend, the restaurant will host a job fair to hire more than 60 employees. Jobs will include both front- and back-of-the-house positions. The company will be hiring cashiers, cooks, and general managers in-training.
The job fair will be held Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at the eegee’s Val Vista and Baseline location, which is currently under construction. Applicants can also apply online.
Open since 1971, eegee’s already has more than two dozen locations in Tucson. eegee’s plans to open five locations around the Valley, with locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa, and two in Gilbert.
Before the official restaurant opens this summer, eegee’s is planning to host surprise “pop-ups” around the Valley to give Valley residents a complimentary first taste of eegee’s.
