East Valley Group Home Worker Arrested in Sex Crimes Case

Queen Creek man accused of assaulting teenage resident at treatment facility

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. — A staff member at a Queen Creek group home has been arrested and accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a teenage girl under his supervision.

Authorities identified the suspect as Christopher Lamont Allen, 48, an employee at Desert Lily Academy, a residential treatment program.

Allegations and investigation

According to police and court records, the alleged victim was a foster child from out of state living at the facility. She reported to other staff members this week that Allen had sex with her.

Investigators said security video from July 27 showed Allen and the teenager entering a closet together on two occasions during an overnight shift.

Arrest and custody

When questioned, Allen denied the allegations, claiming he had only entered the closet with the girl to retrieve personal items. He was later arrested and booked into jail.

Allen is currently being held on $150,000 bond as the investigation continues.
