Driver Shot on I-10 in Apparent Road Rage Incident in Goodyear

DPS investigating early morning West Valley freeway shooting

PHOENIX — A driver was shot early Sunday morning in what authorities say appears to be a road rage shooting along Interstate 10 in Goodyear.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred just after 4 a.m. on westbound I-10, west of the Estrella Parkway exit.

The suspect, driving a separate vehicle, allegedly fired multiple rounds at the victim’s vehicle during the confrontation. One of the bullets struck the victim in the leg. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.

No arrests have been made, and no additional details have been released.

The Department of Public Safety is continuing to investigate the case.
