PHOENIX, Ariz. — A new short film is shining a spotlight on how careers in the multifamily housing industry can offer life-changing opportunities — especially for those who’ve experienced homelessness.
Produced in collaboration with Entryway, a Phoenix-based nonprofit focused on job placement and housing, the film follows the stories of three individuals as they transition into stable employment and secure housing. Through partnerships with Arizona Multihousing Association (AMA) members, participants received training for roles such as leasing agents, groundskeepers, and maintenance staff.
The film will debut during a special screening event on Thursday, August 28, with showtimes at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. at 1020 E. Missouri Ave. in Phoenix.
From Struggle to Stability
The documentary captures how the multifamily industry — when paired with community-driven nonprofits — can empower people to rebuild their lives. By highlighting the personal growth and professional development of Entryway program graduates, the film underscores the transformative role of housing providers.
Following each screening, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from participants and partners during a brief panel discussion. Complimentary light refreshments will also be served.
For AMA and Entryway, this film serves as more than just a story — it’s a call to action for housing leaders to continue investing in people and creating career pathways that change lives.
