In Friday’s Arizona Department of Health Services report, there were an additional 1,579 coronavirus cases added to the state’s total. This marks the most ever cases in a daily update.

The state also recorded an additional 16 deaths, resulting in the state’s death total to 1,012.

With the additional cases, Arizona documented case total is now at 24,332 positive cases. The three highest daily number of new cases reported have been in the last four days, with the previous high of more than 1,100 reported on Tuesday.
