Chaos Erupts at Goodyear Party: Shooting and Hit-and-Run Leave Three Critically Injured

Police Detain Suspect After Violent Incident at Packed Reception Hall

PHOENIX – A large party in Goodyear turned violent Saturday night, leaving three people in critical condition after a shooting and a hit-and-run, according to police.

The incident occurred around 10:19 p.m. at the 303 Reception Hall near Van Buren Street and Sarival Avenue. Authorities were alerted to the chaotic scene with reports of gunshot victims and others struck by a vehicle.

When police arrived, approximately 100 witnesses were still gathered at the scene. Officers from Goodyear were joined by Buckeye and Avondale police to investigate the unfolding situation.


What Led to the Violence?

According to preliminary reports, a dispute between two individuals escalated into a shootout. During the chaos, both the suspected shooter and another person were struck by a vehicle.

Police were able to intercept the vehicle and apprehend the driver.

Injuries and Investigation

Four people were transported to a nearby hospital, with three listed in critical condition as of Sunday morning.

Based on initial interviews with witnesses, detectives believe there are no additional suspects outstanding.
