Cardinals QB Kyler Murray On The Road To Recovery After Successful ACL Surgery

The Arizona Cardinals are preparing to wrap their season when they take on San Francisco in the last game of the season. While the Cardinals battle the 49ers, Kyler Murray will be at home recovering from surgery due to a knee injury he suffered against the New England Patriots on Dec. 12.

On Wednesday, reports out of the Cardinal camp detailed that quarterback Kyler Murray had successful knee surgery to repair an ACL injury.

Murray, 25, posted a picture of himself laying in a hospital bed with the message: “ACL surgery was successful, thank you for all the love and prayers. I appreciate the support and positivity more than I can express, I’ll be back.”

Kliff Kingsbury is grateful for the successful surgery and is eager for his quarterback to start moving forward with rehab to start soon. However, Kingsbury has hinted at the chance Murray won’t exactly be ready for Week 1 next season.

The Cardinals, who has had a disappointing season with a 4-12 record have been forced to play three other quarterbacks due to Murray’s injury. The quarterbacks who have been seen playing time have been Colt McCoy, Trace McSorley and David Bloug. Reports out of the Cardinal camp is that Blough will start the final game against the 49ers this Sunday.

McCoy is out for the season after battling concussion symptoms the past few weeks.
