West Valley shoppers will soon have a new discount retail option closer to home. Burlington Stores is preparing to open a location at 1717 N. Dysart Road in Avondale this spring, marking the chain’s 31st store in Arizona.
The new location will feature Burlington’s updated store design, which the company has been rolling out across its national footprint. The reimagined format features wider, more organized aisles and bolder signage — a departure from the somewhat chaotic shopping experience the brand was long known for. More than half of Burlington’s existing locations have already been converted to the new layout, with the remainder expected to follow by the end of the year.
The New Jersey-based retailer built its brand around deep discounts — typically up to 60 percent off — on a rotating mix of apparel, home decor, beauty products and family merchandise, with new inventory arriving daily.
The Avondale opening follows Burlington’s purchase of roughly 178 acres in the West Valley earlier this year, signaling the company’s broader commitment to expanding its presence in the Phoenix metro. A specific opening date has not yet been announced.
