GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Construction is officially underway on the first Arizona location of Buc-ee’s, the Texas-based convenience store chain known for its massive locations, extensive gas pump stations, and signature offerings. The city of Goodyear confirmed that site grading has begun to prepare the land for utility work and full-scale construction.
The new Buc-ee’s, set to be developed along Interstate 10, will span an impressive 75,400 square feet and feature 120 gas pumps. In true Buc-ee’s fashion, the store will include its famous sparkling clean bathrooms, freshly made sandwiches, homemade fudge, and the beloved beef jerky wall, all hallmarks that have made Buc-ee’s a favorite among travelers across the country.
Located at the southeast corner of Bullard Avenue and I-10, Buc-ee’s acquired the 22-acre site earlier this year for $17.24 million, with zoning approval granted in January. The company is now making quick progress on preparing the site, with an anticipated opening by the end of 2025.
“We’re excited to bring Buc-ee’s to Arizona and be part of the Goodyear community,” a Buc-ee’s spokesperson said. “Our stores are a destination for travelers, and we look forward to serving residents and visitors alike with our unique offerings and Texas-sized hospitality.”
This Goodyear location marks the convenience giant’s continued expansion beyond Texas, where it first gained a loyal following. Known for its massive retail space and wide array of snacks, Buc-ee’s has grown into a cultural phenomenon with a reputation for providing an unmatched customer experience.
The construction of the new Buc-ee’s is expected to bring significant economic activity to Goodyear, with local officials expressing enthusiasm about the project. The store will not only serve motorists along the busy I-10 corridor but will also provide numerous jobs for area residents.
Buc-ee’s entry into Arizona represents another milestone in the brand’s growing footprint across the U.S., bringing its distinct blend of convenience and entertainment to a new audience in the Southwest.
Stay tuned for updates as Buc-ee’s moves forward with construction, bringing the Texas-sized experience to the Valley by the end of 2025.
