Boo Fest Returns to Phoenix

This past Saturday the City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation Department hosted the 12th annual Boo Fest Phoenix at the Paseo HIghlands Park & Beuf Community Center. This annual Halloween event has been been continuously growing since 2004 and has become one of the premier fall festivals in the North Phoenix area. With an estimated 6,000 attendees this Boo Fest has proven is one of the largest yet.

The steady growth of the festival over the years can be attributed to the enthusiastic support not only from the community but also local businesses. A steady stream of sponsors have backed the event over the years including the Allen School of Health sciences, eCreations, Allstate Insurance, Arizona Sports Complex, and Walmart who donated all of this years candy.

One sponsor in particular has played a significant role in the success of Boo Fest Phoenix, the Phoenix based web firm eCreations. Since 2008 the firm has played a crucial role in producing the festival and bringing other sponsors on board. The firm’s founder Steve Tamulewicz credits his company’s support to his “soft spot for kids” saying that he “felt the need to be a part of this great community event ”.

Despite its fun family friendly atmosphere Boo Fest Phoenix also has a serious charitable cause at it heart. Every year the event helps raise money for the local non-profit, Emily’s Toys 4 Joy. Over the past several years this great organization has been collecting donations such as toys, games, and gift cards for children in extended hospital stays. The fast passes that were sold at this years Boo Fest played crucial role in helping this amazing cause, as eCreations made a direct donation to Emily’s Toys 4 Joy with each purchase made.
