After some disorder in arranging his 2018 North American tour, it seems Bob Dylan and his band will hit the ground running at the Comerica Theatre on Thursday, October 4th.
Initially reported by Rolling Stone, Dylan announced his tour to start in Midland, TX on October 9th. However, the iconic singer-songwriter and poet decided to kick-off his 2018 tour early.
Whether you are a life-long fan of Dylan’s lyrical poetry or if you grew to love Dylan by watching the compelling documentary, Don’t Look Back, the “voice of a generation” will soon be gracing The Valley with his presence.
By the same token, Dylan, one of music’s living legends, continues to entertain crowds with classics from hit albums like Highway 61 Revisited & The Times They Are A’Changin’.
Different from many of his rock n’ roll counterparts from the 60’s, Dylan has notably tried to stay out of the limelight. Alongside his modesty, the well-known musician always exhibits calm confidence which endeared him to people all over the world. Even after taking his sweet time accepting the 2016 Nobel Prize in literature, his coolness and indifference to mainstream culture continue to ring true with his fans.
On Monday, Live Nation stated the “Blowin’ in the Wind” singer is set to rock the stage in downtown Phoenix on Oct. 4th.
Get em’ while their hot…
Tickets to attend Dylan’s concert become available this Friday, Aug. 10th at 10 am on Live Nation’s website.
Phoenix hasn’t hosted a show for Dylan and his band in two years since their 2016 performance, also played at the Comerica Theatre. Before that, 2011 was the last time Dylan appeared in Phoenix to play.
Even though the legendary folk singer continues to appease audiences with timeless hits, the craze surrounding Dylan is all but gone. In fact, just this past April, BBC News reported the door to the US singer’s room at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City sold at auction for $100,000. His most recent album, Triplicate, hit stores in 2017.
All the same, Phoenix is looking forward to a night of great music and live entertainment from one of the world’s most famous musicians. Also, if you can’t catch the show in Phoenix on Oct. 4th, don’t worry! Dylan will be playing in nearby Tucson on Oct. 5th at the Tucson Music Hall.
