BLM Offering Incentive For Adopting Horses

The Bureau of Land Management is offering $1,000 incentive to those who adopt a wild horse or burro. They hope it can offset the costs of caring for the animals, and that it can combat animal overpopulation.

All untrained animals— including those at BLM facilities, off-site events, and on the Online Corral— qualify for the incentive.

Those who adopt an animal will receive: $500 within 60 days of adoption and $500 within 60 days of titling it. A $25 fee is required for adoption.
