Beatles Legends, Paul McCartney To Hit Phoenix in 2019

Arizona-based Paul McCartney fans, rejoice! Sir Paul McCartney is coming back to Phoenix. For the first time since 2014, the popular Beatles member will be playing a show at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

This tour stop is a part of Sir McCartney’s The Freshen Up Tour. The Freshen Up Tour is set to kick off next year. McCartney and crew’s Phoenix stop will take place on June 26, 2019 at 8:00 P.M. Tickets for this historic event go on sale September 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.

Phoenix is a newly added date on this seemingly still-growing tour. It is one of three dates added to the end of the tour, beginning on May 23 in New Orleans and ending on June 26 in Phoenix. This makes Phoenix the only stop west of the Mississippi River. Coming to Phoenix is a big change from last year where the farthest west Sir McCartney went was Oklahoma City.

Just eight days prior to the concert, the star will be ringing in his 77th birthday. To celebrate a lifetime of achievements, the tour will cover songs from the Beatles and Wings. The singer will also perform new songs from his latest studio album, Egypt Station.

Egypt Station dropped last Friday with a ton of praise. As Rolling Stone wrote, “Macca keeps adding new gems to his songbook, with nothing to prove except he’s the only genius who can do this…And, oh yeah – in his spare time, he happens to still be the greatest live performer on earth.”
