Scottsdale-based Barrett-Jackson sold over $23.2 million in vintage cars and collectible automobile items earlier this month at its 14th Annual Palm Beach Auction.
One of the top-selling cars was a Heritage Edition Ford GT that went for $467,500.
About 65,000 people attended the Florida auction and the number of bidders was up from last year, according to Barrett-Jackson.
“Our Palm Beach auction was a remarkable success with an incredible docket of desirable supercars, original muscle cars and automobilia,” said Craig Jackson, Barrett-Jackson chairman and CEO.“The crowds were electric throughout the weekend and primetime Saturday felt like primetime in Scottsdale.”
Barrett-Jackson sold eight charity vehicles at Palm Beach for a combined $1.05 million with all the proceeds going to charitable organizations. Barrett-Jackson has helped raise over $89 million to date.
Barrett-Jackson started the year off in January with $102 million of car sales at its 45th anniversary Scottsdale Auction. The company sold 1,469 vehicles at the event, including a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach for $1.76 million.
Barrett-Jackson will host its inaugural Northeast Auction at Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino on June 23-25.
The auction company will close out the year Oct. 13-15 with its Las Vegas Auction at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
