Authorities Searching for Inmate Who Escaped From Federal Prison in Phoenix

Officials are warning the public to be on the lookout for an inmate who escaped from a federal prison in Phoenix on Tuesday.

Officials with the Federal Bureau of Prisons announced that 36-year-old Rosann Tercero was discovered missing early Tuesday morning from the minimum-security satellite camp next to the Federal Correctional Institution Phoenix.

The prison is located near Interstate 17, just south of Anthem.

The FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, and additional law enforcement agencies have been notified and are aiding in the search of Tercero.

Federal authorities believe Tercero will attempt to leave Arizona and possibly head to New Mexico.

Tercero was sentenced to 117-months in prison for a variety of drug offenses.
