Good news Arizona has been eagerly waiting to hear. After Friday morning’s daily report from the Arizona Department of Health Services, the numbers show that Arizona’s weekly positive rate for COVID-19 tests has declined for seven consecutive weeks and may be leveling off.
Friday’s report added another 519 new coronavirus cases to the state total which now totals 200,658.
49 more deaths were reported bringing the state COVID-19 fatality total to 4,978 fatalities.
Arizona hospital data is showing a similar downward trend. The number of Arizona’s confirmed Coronavirus inpatients fell to 809 on Thursday, the lowest since May 22nd. The number of COVID-19 patients in ICU beds dropped to 272. The lowest it has been was 270 back on April 13th.
