Arizonas finest young musicians to perform at MIM

On Sunday, October 30th at 1 p.m. the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix will play host to fifteen of Arizona’s most distinguished young musical virtuosos during the the 2016 Arizona Musicfest Young Musicians Fall Concert. 

This event will be a part of Arizona Musicfest’s first ever Fall Fest, and these talented instrumentalists will have the great honor of being one of the its seminal acts. Sharing the limelight with these young prodigies will be: Melissa Manchester, The Lonely Heartstring Band and Mipso and The Midtown Men: The Original Cast of Broadway’s Jersey Boys.  

These bright performers come from high schools across the region and will be showcasing their classical music prowess by performing both solo and ensemble works by a variety of eminent composers such as Rachmaninoff and Debussy, making this a not to miss event. 

The following students will be featured at the Young Musicians Fall Concert:

Hannah Goldstick, violin, Primavera Online High School, Chandler

Tamachi Goodson, cello, Arizona School for the Arts

Emma Potter, violin, Arizona School for the Arts

Bobae Johnson, violin, Desert Vista High School, Ahwatukee

Chase Lee, violin, Arizona School for the Arts

Kimberly Schneider, violin, Basis Scottsdale

Jacob Soulliere, baritone, Boulder Creek High School, Anthem

Barrett Yueh, flute, Desert Mountain High School, Scottsdale

Alyssa Zhang, piano, Perry High School

Vivian Zhao, piano, Hamilton High School

Speaking on this powerful lineup, Executive Producing Director Allan Naplan remarked that these musicians represented “the best of the best” and that “Audiences will be astounded by their virtuosity, technique and style.”
