Arizona Woman Sentenced to 15 Years in Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Case

Attorney General Kris Mayes says the state remains committed to aggressively prosecuting violent offenders

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced Monday that Christina Albert has been sentenced to a combined 15 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections for a 2023 domestic violence case involving repeated sexual and physical abuse.

Albert received 15 years for one count of sexual assault (domestic violence) and a concurrent 7.5-year sentence for one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument. She pleaded guilty on Sept. 25, 2025, and was formally sentenced on Nov. 4.

State prosecutors said the abuse occurred between May and June 2023 and involved Albert’s girlfriend. As part of the sentencing, Albert is prohibited from contacting the victim and must register as a sex offender.

Attorney General Mayes said the case underscores the seriousness with which Arizona approaches domestic violence prosecutions and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to protecting victims.

Case documents and booking materials are available through the Attorney General’s Office.
