Arizona State University Student Stabbed by Fellow Student on West Valley Campus

Victim Hospitalized with Non-Life-Threatening Injuries; Suspect in Custody as Investigation Continues

Phoenix, AZ – A female student at Arizona State University’s West Valley campus was stabbed by another student in a classroom on Thursday morning, authorities have confirmed. The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m., according to a statement from ASU.

The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The suspect, also a female student, was quickly taken into police custody following the stabbing.

An investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway. No further details have been released at this time.


The ASU West Valley campus, located at 47th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, remains open as authorities continue to gather information.
