Arizona Reports 396 New Coronavirus Cases, Pushing Total Over 14,500

The Arizona health department reported Tuesday morning the state had an additional 396 positive cases, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 14,566.

The report also brings the state total number of COVID-19 deaths to 704 with the additional 18 deaths reported since Monday.

As of Tuesday morning, 161,571 coronavirus tests have been administered in Arizona. Of the tests that have been processed, 6.9% have come back positive, which continues to show a downward trend.

As of Monday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 89,407 deaths from nearly 1.5 million COVID-19 cases nationally.

Johns Hopkins University’s report on Tuesday shows that there were more than 4.8 million cases and 319,000 deaths globally.
