AMA’s “5 Star Safety Program” earns national recognition for advancing community safety initiatives

PHOENIX — The Arizona Multihousing Association (AMA) has been awarded the prestigious Power of Associations Silver Award by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) for its groundbreaking “5 Star Safety Program.”

The program, designed to educate and certify Arizona property owners and managers, equips them with the tools to enhance safety standards across rental communities. By participating, property owners publicly demonstrate their proactive commitment to fostering secure living environments.

ASAE, a leading authority in professional development for association professionals, selected AMA’s initiative for its innovative approach to improving community safety while engaging a broad coalition of stakeholders.

The AMA will be formally recognized during the ASAE Summit Awards Dinner on September 25 in Washington, D.C., where top programs from across the country will be celebrated for their positive impact on communities and industries.

The 5 Star Safety Program continues to be a model of collaboration and education, empowering housing providers to adopt best practices that reduce crime, strengthen community relations, and ensure safe, welcoming environments for residents statewide.
