Arizona Humane Society Waiving Pet Adoption Fees Through May 15 Due To Overfilling

The slow-down of summer, might just be a good time to welcome a new pet into your home.

The Arizona Humane Society announced they are waiving all adoption fees for pets in their shelters through mid-May due to overcapacity.

Currently there are more than 500 adoptable pets in their shelters. The agency plans to waive fees at the Arizona Humane Society South Mountain Campus and PetSmart in Scottsdale near Miller and Camelback roads.

On average, the shelters admit close to 100 pets every day and normally less than 30 are adopted.

Those looking to find their furever friend with adoption can expect that all pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped with a free follow-up hospital pet exam. New owners will also be given a starter kit of Hill’s Science Diet Food.
