In Wednesday’s report released by the Arizona Health Department, the findings continue to show an increase in both positive Coronavirus cases and deaths in the state. An additional 24 new coronavirus deaths were reported and an additional 479 cases now add to the state totals.
The state’s documented total number of cases increased to 17,262, and the death count reached 831.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 98,261 deaths from more than 1.66 million COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday nationally.
Johns Hopkins University reported Wednesday morning there were more than 5.6 million cases and 351,000 deaths globally.
