Regardless of COVID-19 business benchmarks metrics, Arizona health officials have processed through hundreds of applications from closed businesses, granting approval to reopen.
On June 29th, the state of Arizona issued an executive order which forced indoor gyms, bars/nightclubs, theaters, water parks and tubing operations to closes when coronavirus cases were was spiking in the state.
Businesses are allowed to reopen when benchmarks for three metrics measuring the spread of COVID-19 have been met. The benchmarks have been set by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
But when the benchmarks haven’t been met in each county, a business impacted can apply to reopen by establishing a customized plan that includes measures that are stricter than the government requirements will be when county benchmarks are met.
If the state health department approves the business reopening application, the business can reopen and are required to post the plan in a prominent location inside the business..
