Arizona Begins to See Tiki Bar Trend

Underground Tiki bars are popping up more often around the Valley than not. But, what exactly is an underground Tiki bar, and how can you find one? We break down what to look for and where you can find them in Arizona.

What is an underground Tiki bar like?

Most underground Tiki bars require you to go below ground (hence the name). You’re usually just underground by walking down a single flight of steps. Tiki bars pay respect to Tiki traditions by decorating the walls with authentic-looking artifacts, art, and images of Tiki warriors. The food is usually Asian-inspired, and underground Tiki bars often have delicious and affordable tapas offerings.
