Arizona Beer Week Begins

Arizona Beer Week started yesterday, February 9 and goes through the 18th. The event is sponsored by The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild and will be occurring all throughout the state at over 200 breweries, restaurants bars and other businesses. This year, a heavy emphasis will be placed on the art and education of brewing craft beer, while gathering with others who have the love of craft beer in common.

Over the 10-day celebration, the Guild encourages you to try new spots and new beers that you haven’t tried before. Every day, beer tapings, will occur at different spots throughout the Arizona. Beer tastings will occur as well as tons of other special events.

One of the most popular Beer Week events is the Arizona Strong Beer Festival which will take place on February 11 at Steele Indian School Park where over 130 breweries will be in attendance and 450 craft beers will be on tap. You can try tons of beer and visit food trucks, too. There will be live music and special events. Tickets range between $10-$100.

Arizona Beer Week first began in 2011 and consisted of just 30 local businesses. Each year, it has continued to grow and show profit. Anyone can submit an event to be added for Beer Week as well as become a vendor.

The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild has been in existence since 1998 and was formed by a group of craft brewers who wanted to widen the knowledge of craft beer throughout the state. The Guild is now made up of over 100 people in the tourism and beverage industry.
