An Established Arizona Shopping Center Is Changing Its Name

A name change has been initiated for an established valley shopping center

The shopping center Outlets at Anthem has declared that the area’s growth and an increase in demand are the main reasons for the name change.

According to a recent press release, Outlets at Anthem will now be known as Outlets North Phoenix.

The pet friendly, open-air shopping center, that features several wings of the mall is conveniently located off Interstate 17 and Anthem Way opened in 1995 and was originally named the New River Outlets. It received a name change 21 years ago in 2002 to reflect the general Anthem community area.

“We’ve evolved over the years to be the preferred shopping center for the northern boundaries of Phoenix and as the North Valley has evolved, we’re now changing our name to reflect that,” Steve Craig, property developer and owner of Craig Realty Group, which owns and operates the center, said in the release.

The mall is a popular destination stop for travelers driving from Phoenix to Flagstaff.

The center also has becomes a popular holiday destination during the holiday season when they roll in and decorate the state’s largest Christmas tree.
