All Aboard For The Mesa Santa Express

All aboard! Looking for something festive to do with the family but don’t have the time to head north for big holiday activities? The city of Mesa is looking to help get families into the Christmas spirit!

Mesa announced plans to transform the light rail into the Santa Express starting this weekend for select nights in the month.

Children and families can board the train near Mesa Dr./Main St. for the holiday experience from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event will run Friday and Saturday, December 9-10,  as well as on Dec. 16 and 17.

Guests should request a commemorative ticket for the free event before getting in line.

Continue the party off the train with more festivities scheduled at the Park-and-Ride near the light rail station, including performances, food and snacks from local vendors and gift shop areas.

Attendees should plan to arrive for the free light rail rides from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. between Gilbert and Country Club roads on the nights of the event.

The is the sixth year that the Mesa Santa Express has been held.
